For many of us, relationships at work remain on an emotional surface that forces us to never fully open up to a colleague, except on rare occasions, with colleagues who are particularly in tune with our values—an increasingly rare occurrence. This relationship dimension, lacking in any kind of insight, sticks with us even outside the workplace and leads us to be naturally less inclined to open up, even in relationships with other people who are crucial to our emotional well-being.
