Julius Eastman - Femenine | EnsembleSpectrum (2021) (live)

During our 9-hour-long marathon of music, we performed the shiny, positivity vibing pieces by enfant terribile of the New York scene of the 70's, Julius Eastman. Among smaller pieces of his creation, like Joy Boy and Buddha stands the 70-minute monolith, the legendary minimalism-extraordinaire - Femenine. Using the naming pattern of Planets suite by Gustav Holst, one could say that Eastman and specially Femenine is ultimate Bringer of Jolity.
