This is the first film in a video series about the Nazca Lines, the mysterious giant figures etched into the Peruvian desert near the small town of Nazca in ancient times. The purpose of the geoglyphs remains unclear. The filmmaker takes viewers on a journey across the desert plateaus and valleys of Peru's western coast, allowing them to see these astonishing structures firsthand from the ground, helicopter, and airplane, and to try to understand them and draw their own conclusions. In these films, viewers will see the results of work with satellite maps, numerous sketches of ancient figures, and unique photographic and video footage collected during trips over the past few years.
