Review and tones of the Epiphone EJ-160E- Epiphone's copy of Gibson's J-160E beloved by the Beatles

I bought my limited edition Epiphone EJ-160E a few years ago. I saw it in a local music store and of course after playing it for a few minutes it just had to come home with me. It needed some work on the intonation but it plays very well now. Its famous parent the Gibson J-160E has been played by many artists including the Beatles who used them in all their albums. It was the first electroacoustic guitar produced and as such is very much of its time and though it has both integrated volume and tone controls there is no preamp. Since those days electroacoustics have come on hugely especially with the development of under bridge piezo transducers and preamps with all kinds of electronic gadgets and now hybrid guitars are made by quite a few companies. Compared to the Gibson, Epiphone's version, first sold around 2004, has been updated with a stacked humbucker, a solid pine top with X-bracing but otherwise is a very faithful copy if you can't find or have the cash to buy one of the original Gibsons. I think Epiphone discontinued the EJ-160E around 2016. Ii was the Beatles who first got me into playing the guitar.
