This video describes the processes in a mechanical signal box when a train enters the station. We obtained this information from former signalmen, documents relating to the signal box, and general information from the internet. Even though our signal box has electrical safety devices, it is considered a mechanical, not an electromechanical, signal box. 2. The levers I, II, and III are not track locks, but rather point locks. The levers for track locks are labeled Gs 1 and Gs 2. 3. The route release for an arriving train is not done via track contacts, but via a key switch operated by the train dispatcher. Thank you for the feedback.
