Tombe de Pierre MONDY cimetière nouveau de Neuilly sur Seine

Pierre Cuq, known as Pierre Mondy, was born on February 10, 1925, in Neuilly-sur-Seine. He was a prolific actor and director in the theater from the 1940s onward. In the 1970s, in addition to his theatrical popularity, he achieved a triumph with Robert Lamoureux's trilogy, "La Septembre Compagnie." He also pursued a final part of his career in television, notably for fifteen years in "Les Cordier, juge et flic" and then Commissaire Cordier, from 1992 to 2007. In July 2009, he was hospitalized following a collapse, and doctors diagnosed him with lymphoma, which was treated in February 2010. On September 15, 2012, he died in Paris at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, following a recurrence of the lymphoma. He is buried in the new cemetery of Neuilly-sur-Seine (division 1A). A visit to his grave was accompanied, as always, by the laying of a sunflower, a symbol of admiration and respect. NOTE FROM JULIEN: Pierre MONDY, a great man with whom I worked on episodes of "Les Cordier." Always a kind word, a man with a big heart and a great listener, it was moving to see him again in this clip we filmed together... here is the link to see a clip where we can see both of us:    • Les  cordier, juge et flic, avec Pierre Mo...
