Rokujō Miyasudokoro was the former Crown Princess, far superior to Aoi no Ue in status, upbringing, and beauty, yet she was publicly humiliated because she did not have the title of "official wife." That night, her jealousy completely spiraled out of control, and her soul manifested as a spirit, possessing Aoi no Ue and ultimately causing the death of her rival. The cruelest part is that she herself had no recollection of doing these things; she only realized the vengeful spirit was herself when she smelled the lingering scent of poppies used for exorcism on her clothes. Murasaki Shikibu didn't write a story about a bad woman, but rather a story of a good woman living a tragic life within a flawed structure. A thousand years have passed; the oxcart has become social media, the Aoi Festival has become WeChat Moments, but the logic remains largely unchanged. This video is based on Japanese psychiatrist Hiroya Mizushima's book, *Women's Human Relationships*, combining an evolutionary psychology perspective with gender data from Japanese society to interpret five repeatedly verified but rarely discussed characteristics in women's interpersonal relationships: why women's enemies are other women in mate selection competition; how Japan's unique pressure to conform leads women to band together yet become exhausted; why successful women are more likely to be attacked by other women; what kind of social training mechanism lies behind the expectation of "understanding without being told"; and the psychological roots of why best friends withdraw when a lover appears. These are not flaws, but rather group tendencies shaped by specific social structures. Men also experience similar competitive anxiety, only the battleground is different—women compare appearance and emotional belonging, while men compare social status and wealth.
