Crying In The Chapel

Crying In The Chapel, cover song on a Baritone Mountain Dulcimer…. Today would have been my Mom’s 88th birthday. I miss her every day. She loved music, Hymns especially. Elvis Presley’s Crying In The Chapel was one of her favorites. She was never big on worshiping publicly. Her connection with the Devine was through the grandeur of nature. She loved going on drives to simply appreciate the beauty of the forest, the fields, the waterways, the clouds…and had a love of red barns. At some point she would burst out with “Thank you, God for all this beauty!!!” I do believe those drives were indeed her Chapel. This video is one more road trip for her. Pieces of places we’ve traveled together. Happy birthday, Mom! ❤️ The arrangement I’m playing is based on Larry Conger’s fine tab. The Baritone Dulcimer is a Folkcraft. I used more effect than I usually do for this one. Zoom’s Church reverb. It seemed fitting.
