The Chairman of the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU), Yahya Cholil Staquf, also known as Gus Yahya, has announced that he will run again for chairman at the upcoming NU Congress. According to him, he wants to continue the various programs he has established, from digitalizing organizational governance to strengthening the economy of NU members. "I want to run again because I want to complete the agendas I have established," he explained at the PBNU Office in Jakarta, Tuesday (July 14, 2026). He also admitted that he wants to perfect the achievements he has achieved to date. The Rembang-born man stated that PBNU has currently built a digital management system, developed farmer groups, and expanded sharia economic cooperation with various international partners.
