Giethoorn: A Magical Evening Exploring the "Venice of the Netherlands" | 4K | GoPro 11

Welcome to Giethoorn, a magical village in the heart of the Netherlands. What makes Giethoorn truly special is its lack of cars. In the old part of the village you need to use a boat to reach your house. The charming wooden boats, known as "whisper boats," silently glide through the waterways, surrounded by picturesque thatched-roof houses. Giethoorn with its romantic canals and 176 bridges is often referred to as "Venice of the Netherlands." I was there right before sunset and managed to capture the magic of this place with my GoPro 11. So please, have a seat, relax and wander with me through narrow footpaths and over-arched bridges, embracing the peace and tranquility that this place has to offer. Well, the village used to be a tranquil oasis and was a favorite vacation destination for the Dutch but in recent years it has become a tourist trap. I was there late in the evening just when all the boat rentals were shutting down and managed to enjoy a relatively peaceful walk. If you plan to visit, i would suggest you either go early in the morning or late in the evening, otherwise you will be surprised by the hordes of tourists that plague this place.
