The real cost of owning a Honda Pan European ST 1300 (that nobody tells you about)

After booking all crossings and accommodation etc for the June Alps trip, its sods law that the Honda developed an electrical issue that stopped it dead in it's tracks. It was due a service anyway but this slowly developed into a full strip down to find the elusive electrical problem. Let's just say when something goes wrong, it's not a cheap bike to repair.
