Fangoria: "No hemos sido fieles. Hemos hecho otro disco paralelo con Rojuu"

Fangoria brings "La verdad o la imaginación" (The Truth or the Imagination) to "Cuerpos especiales" (Special Bodies). Alaska got up early this Thursday to talk with Eva Soriano and Nacho García about her new album, which arrives this Friday, April 24th, and from which only a single has been released so far. The singer talks about the upcoming launch concerts and how the tour preparations are going. She also gives Aníbal Gómez a rating for his impersonation of her on "Tu cara me suena" (Your Face Sounds Familiar). #humor #music https://www.europafm.com/programas/cu... This Friday sees the release of "La verdad o la imaginación," Fangoria's first LP in 10 years, which Alaska has come to present on "Cuerpos especiales." The singer got up early to chat with Eva Soriano and Nacho García about this new work, which comes after three EPs and a live album. "It's composed the same way and recorded the same way," she said about the difference between making an LP and an EP. "The thing is, you think, 'Ugh, I already have five songs, I'll release it,' and then when you've done three of those, which we made into a trilogy, you think, 'Ugh, back to the studio.' If I had released the album, I would already have everything," she added, explaining that they made the smaller formats with great enthusiasm but ended up "a little tired," which is why they said, "It's time to make an album." "La verdad o la imaginación" (The Truth or Imagination) is entirely produced by Matt Pop, which breaks with Alaska and Nacho Canut's usual practice. "Monogamy on an artistic level is terrible for us," confessed the singer, who this time wanted a single producer to guide them to a common ground, although they didn't quite achieve it. Electronic Pop Without Guitars Fangoria's new album arrives with a single preview, the song "Me Voy," a heartbreak anthem perfect for dancing nonstop. This mindset led them to include saxophonist Tavi Gallart on their previous tour. "Not because we wanted a saxophonist, but because we wanted Tavi," she said about Fangoria's motto. "If the person is cool, it's great to be with them, but having a musician just for the sake of it... well, no." They learned this many years ago with drummers. "We had a terrible run of bad luck, and that's why we added a drum machine in 1980. We discovered it was wonderful. They don't give us stupid ideas, and we don't have to argue about it," she said about how electronic music works. "In the end, it's about you. You can use whatever you want, and if you use people, it's because they're capable people," added the singer, who admits she has complete faith in those who are part of her team. "We're very flexible. Whatever you tell us, we'll do. It's not a question of talent, it's a question of trust." Imagination to escape the world Fangoria will tour Spain this summer, although they'll first play two launch shows, on May 9th in Barcelona and the 14th in Madrid. "Of the 16 songs we've recorded, 12 on the album and four on the record, we'll have to play most of them. These are concerts for fans," he said about what to expect from these shows. "It's the album, and from the next day on, we're playing everything everywhere." The tour will be different. Alaska and Nacho have already started rehearsals and aren't entirely confident yet. "Musically, we're perfect; where we're behind is with the choreography and dancers. We've been doing the same choreography for songs like 'Dramas y comedias' or 'Espectacular' for years, and suddenly we decided to change them, but... good riddance! You'd better be grateful," he remarked before saying goodbye, questioning Aníbal Gómez. The comedian impersonated her on Your Face Sounds Familiar, and Eva and Nacho wanted her to give him a score. "As a judge, I'm terrible because I'd give everyone a 10," she said in general terms, before praising Aníbal, who, in addition to impersonating her on Your Face Sounds Familiar, also impersonated Mario Vaquerizo on Muchachada Nui. "We have to take him home and live with him!"
