It was here that I met an incredibly hard working brother-sister duo. Kaleel makes a 240 kilometer return trip every other night to procure fresh seafood from the fishing harbour in Mangalore, that his sister Arshia single handedly cooks to family recipes. The flavours of the homely fare here is reminiscent of what you would taste in kudla (Mangalore) but with the sort of punchy spicing that they say “is suited to the local palate of Mudigere”.
