Patax “Play The Beatles” Liderada por el percusionista Jorge Pérez, Patax es hoy la más fresca, cosmopolita y brillante expresión del nuevo jazz fusión con ingredientes flamencos, y sin más, una de las más espectaculares y sorprendentes bandas de jazz de España de todos los tiempos, como bien pudimos comprobar en Jazz San Javier en su primera visita al festival en 2017. En la estela del legado de leyendas como Weather Report, Chick Corea Elektric Band, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Enrique Morente o Paco de Lucía, Patax ha llevado el concepto del jazz fusión hacia nuevas fronteras, y desde ellas, nos presenta su homenaje musical a The Beatles, con una revisión única y original de sus temas más bellos, en una fusión de jazz, flamenco y ritmos afrocubanos que les confiere nuevo brillo. In the wake of the legacy of legends such as Weather Report, Chick Corea Elektric Band, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Enrique Morente or Paco de Lucía, Patax has taken the concept of jazz fusion to new frontiers, and from there, it presents its musical tribute to The Beatles, with a unique and original revision of their most beautiful songs, in a fusion of jazz, flamenco and Afro-Cuban rhythms that gives them a new shine.
