Stroh Violin - Stroviol - the weirdest violin ever!
Every now and then something really weird shows up at the workshop! This oddity is a Stroh violin, aka. Strohviol. It was invented in 1899 by John Matthias Augustus Stroh, in an attempt to improve recording quality with the acoustic-mechanical recording methods of the time. The owner of this instrument wanted it spruced up a bit and brought back to good form! He has a YouTube Channel, check it out! / @robertceledonscott 0:00 - Intro 0:06 - Description 0:44 - Disassembling 1:32 - Burmese Tag?
