Adulti contro giovani: perché la società sta distruggendo le nuove generazioni?
Until a few decades ago, children had a good chance of surpassing their parents financially and professionally. Today, this social ladder is completely blocked, meaning that children rarely manage to build better social and economic conditions than their parents. In other words, those born poor stay poor, or worse, become even poorer than their families, while those born rich become increasingly richer. This situation—combined with other sociocultural and economic factors and the fact that the Italian ruling class is still essentially made up of people of a certain age trying to cling to their positions as long as possible—creates numerous problems for today's youth. NEETs (Not in Education, Employment, or Training), an acronym for young people who are not in education, employment, or training, for example, represent a significant segment of the population in the 15-29 age bracket, and psychological problems among young people have been on the rise in recent years. With Massimiliano Valerii, researcher and director of Censis; Matteo Lancini, psychotherapist and president of the Minotauro Foundation; and by giving a voice to those directly affected, young people, with Emma Ruzzon, Wise360's in-depth study seeks to understand how to respond to the new generations and restore their faith in the future.
