Isuzu D-MAX Road Trip | Kasane to Joburg In Proper Bakkies
Today on Justin On Cars, we’re doing something a little different, an Isuzu D-MAX road trip from Kasane in Botswana all the way to Johannesburg, South Africa. This was not just a normal drive. This was a proper bakkie adventure with incredible scenery, long open roads, border crossings, different terrain and a full line-up of Isuzu D-MAX models along the way. We started the journey in the Isuzu D-MAX LS 4x4 1.9 Ddi, which really shows why the smaller engine still makes sense for everyday use, long-distance driving and proper real-world bakkie work. The updated D-MAX range keeps the 1.9-litre turbo diesel engine with 110 kW and 350 Nm, giving it a good balance between efficiency, usability and durability. From there, we also spent time in the Isuzu D-MAX X-Rider 3.0 TD, bringing more power, more torque and that stronger 3.0-litre feel. The 3.0 Ddi delivers 140 kW and 450 Nm, and in the X-Rider, it adds a more lifestyle-focused look with proper bakkie ability underneath. Then came the big one, the Isuzu D-MAX AT35. This is the extreme version, built with a tougher, more adventurous attitude and serious road presence. And finally, we also drove the Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross, the more premium, high-spec lifestyle bakkie in the range, bringing comfort, tech and that everyday adventure feel. This video is about the journey, the scenery, the different D-MAX models, and what it feels like to cover serious distance in a proper South African favourite. Definitely a bakkie. 👀 What We Cover In This Video Kasane to Johannesburg road trip Botswana to South Africa drive Isuzu D-MAX LS 4x4 1.9 Ddi Updated 1.9 Ddi engine overview Isuzu D-MAX X-Rider 3.0 TD Isuzu D-MAX AT35 Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross Road trip comfort Why the D-MAX still makes sense 🔗 Justin On Cars Partner Links Radar Tyres Global: https://www.radartyres.com/ Radar Tyres South Africa: https://radartyressa.co.za/ Custom Seat Covers: https://www.seat-covers.co.za/discoun...
