Mid of flags STORYLINE: Residents in South Florida brought supplies to a collection site on Friday in Doral to be sent to the victims of the deadly earthquakes that ravaged Venezuelan on Wednesday. Dozens of volunteers manned the site, sorting donations into boxes which included items such as non-perishable food, water, medicine and clothes ready to be shipped to the South American nation. Local businesses such as Venezuelan restaurants as well as community centers also became centers for donation activity. Venezuela was hit with two earthquakes on Wednesday that killed at least 920 and injured another 3,360, authorities said. Meanwhile, another group also called for the U.S. government to offer a new form of Temporary Protected Status for Venezuelans due to the devastating earthquake.
