TRIBUN-VIDEO.COM - The State Budget (APBN) in May 2026 experienced a deficit of IDR 180.4 trillion, equivalent to 0.70 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). A deficit occurs when expenditure exceeds income. State revenue comes from taxes, customs, non-tax state revenue (PNBP), and other sources. Meanwhile, state spending is used for civil servant salaries, infrastructure development, education, health, subsidies, social assistance, and other purposes. Purbaya stated that the APBN realization through May continues to show improvement compared to the previous month. This is reflected in tax growth of IDR 834.4 trillion, a 22.1 percent increase compared to last year, which only contributed 11.3 percent of GDP, or IDR 32.2 trillion.
