Twisted Fringe
Twisted Fringe is a technique for finishing the ends if woven fabric. It is most commonly found on scarfs or shawls. Here is how I prepare twisted fringe on a shawl that I just removed from my loom. The scarf is made of Shetland weight wool from Harrisville Designes. The device that I use for twisting is a "Leclerc Fringe Twister" which is available on line from a number of weaving supply stores. Two of these from which I have purchased, are Yarn Barn of Kansas, and the Woolery.
