When Playing at Your LGS Feels Impossible
Everyone says “go support your LGS” but what if that’s actually hard In this video I talk about something that doesn’t get discussed enough in the Magic the Gathering community social anxiety at your Local Game Store. For a game built around community sitting down at a table isn’t always as easy as it seems I share my own experience walking out of a prerelease how social anxiety affected me and how ideas from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help push back against those thoughts This is not a replacement for therapy but if you have ever felt nervous out of place or overwhelmed at an LGS just know you are not alone I also talk about how we as a community can make things easier for others because sometimes simply asking someone to join your pod can make a bigger difference than you think If this resonates with you feel free to share your experience in the comments and help make LGS spaces more welcoming for everyone 💬 Join our Discord: / discord
