First, I visited ORP Dreznica Farm, where I filmed the adult birds, breeding flocks, and the collection of fresh hatching eggs. Olive Egger chickens are famous for laying beautiful green eggs in different shades, while Marans chickens are known for their dark chocolate-brown eggs. After bringing the eggs home, I carefully placed them in the incubator and began a 21-day incubation journey. You will see candling, fertility checks, embryo development, hatch day, and the incredible moments when the chicks finally break through their shells. How many chicks will hatch? Which breed will have the better hatch rate? And what do chicks from green and dark brown eggs look like? You'll find out in this video.
