Okra also known as ladyfinger and bhindi is a summer vegetable. Start okra seeds inside 2 weeks before the last frost and transplant seedlings outside when the danger of all frost is over. Okra loves water, so keep the soil moist at all times. Pick okra when the okra is 2.5 inches to 4 inches long. Okra loves full sun and heat and will thrive in over 100F if you keep the soil moist.
