Sunshine Coast - Things To Do near Powell River and Lund - British Columbia, Canada

Our family heads to the Sunshine Coast in search of the rumoured warmest ocean water north of Mexico. We'll show you three great recreation areas in this beautiful part of the world. #bccamping #exploreBC #sunshinecoastbc We stayed on the Finn Bay Farm Retreat near Desolation Sound Provincial Marine Park. Paul, the owner, is a very lovely host! We LOVED our cottage. We enjoyed paddle-boarding on the Powell Forest Lakes (Dodd and Goat Lakes). These lakes are part of the Powell Forest Canoe Route. Being short of time, we were only able to hike one leg of the Sunshine Coast Trail. The 10.6 KM return portion that we did was Malaspina Road to Manzanila Hut. Our ocean swim was at Diver's Rock near the Finn Bay Farm Retreat. The warmest ocean water is apparently at Savary Island, near Lund. We sadly never made it there as it was raining far too much.
