Last night, while heading out for a haircut, a heavily modified motorcycle zoomed past me. Initially, I thought nothing of it, but in that brief moment of passing, my intuition kicked in, and I instinctively turned to look—only to see the license plate starting with EM. In that instant, I didn’t have time to think; my body had already turned around to chase after it. As I pursued, I quickly entered the license plate for a check, and when the screen displayed "Vehicle Stolen," my heart raced. This was serious! The suspect's vehicle was modified and speeding wildly on the road. I kept close behind while activating "Road Reporting Mode," contacting the 110 command center and relaying information to the police stations in Bitan, Quchi, Guishan, and Tongbi, ultimately chasing into Wulai. I must commend the professionalism and decisiveness of the Wulai substation! Upon receiving my request for interception, they acted without hesitation, immediately notifying the on-duty station chief. The chief quickly deployed an interception point at Wulai Bridge, anticipating the suspect's route. Unexpectedly, the cunning suspect suddenly turned towards the hot spring street, parked, and entered a shop to shop. Those few minutes were the tensest of the entire operation. I kept a close watch on the suspect while also monitoring two teenagers riding with him, ensuring everyone was within sight. Less than a minute after the suspect parked, the chief arrived at the scene to meet me! After a quick briefing, the chief moved in for questioning, and within minutes, additional police units arrived for support. After a thorough investigation at the scene lasting over ten minutes, we successfully apprehended the suspect with the stolen license plate. Further verification at the station revealed the situation was even more complex: the vehicle's VIN had been altered, and the engine number did not match, with no records found… the situation was clearly deeper than it appeared. I am very grateful to the 110 command center and the Wulai officers for their strong support; this seamless interception was executed beautifully! The most heartwarming moment was before leaving, the officers treated me to two cups of Jiaming milk (hahaha).
