HOMELAND WAR MUSEUM DUBROVNIK! (4K)

When you take the cable car from Old Dubrovnik to the top of Mt. Srđ for an incredible view of the city, the last thing you'd expect to see up here is a war museum, but the Homeland War Museum Dubrovnik, also known as the Museum of the Croatian War of Independence, is located here. The Homeland War took place from 1991-1995 between Croatia, and the Yugoslav army controlled by Serbia, and aided by Montenegro. Dubrovnik, including Old Dubrovnik, was attacked with artillery and many buildings were damaged or destroyed. Over 100,000 lives were lost in the war. The museum is located inside Fort. Imperial, which was directly attacked during the war. The museum documents all aspect of the war and its effect on the Croatian people, especially those in Dubrovnik.
