Custom BMW K100 Cafe Racer Build

Follow my page @baycityrestorations on Instagram to keep up with all of our custom motorcycle builds! I found this 1988 #BMW #K100 on facebook marketplace. The previous owner said the bike had sat for close to 10 years because he had an accident which prevented him from riding. He replaced the fuel pump and battery and was able to get the bike running before I bought it. It smokes alot on start up like most typical K's but upon my first test ride everything went pretty smoothly other than finding out the fuel tank was leaking and the radiator fan was completely seized. The bike was originally a brown/tan color and had the full LT fairing but at some point it was repainted red and some of those bulky faring parts were removed. Now that I have taken the bike apart I have a good idea on everything I need to start customizing the bike into a more modern cafe racer!
