Divisão de Mandaçaia + Revisão e várias dicas de manejo com as abelhas

In this division of Mandaçaia Mqq bees (Melipona quadrifasciata quadrifasciata), we will initially use three colonies as follows: Mother Box = We remove two mature brood combs. Donor Box for foraging bees #1 = Foraging bees + a mature brood comb edge and emerging brood comb. Donor Box for foraging bees #2 = Foraging bees. Objective: Two new colonies of Mandaçaia Mqq bees. We demonstrate the type of box (to form the daughter colony) that we will use to house the mature brood combs and foraging bees. We use sheets of mixed wax and small wax pots to protect the brood combs and help the bees in the initial structuring of the new nest. In addition to detailing the division of Mandaçaia, we will demonstrate several tips for handling the bees. We hope this can help those who are starting out and have many questions about dividing native bee swarms. 😀👍 Oh! We conducted a second review of these divisions, 21 days after the last one, here's the video: 👉    • Abelha Mandaçaia Mqq - resultado das divisões   Want to learn more about dividing Mandaçaia Mqq bees?
