Vencedores y vencidos : Carlomagno (768)

This is a large-map mission that can be completed in many ways, and your decisions will determine the number of battles you'll face. The first thing to understand is that the achievement is to kill Carloman (red), but simply not helping him against your enemies is enough to earn the achievement without doing anything. Furthermore, upon his death, you gain control of his city. First, build a strong economy. The map is large, allowing you to expand and gather resources in many locations. However, be aware that attacks from all your enemies will come early on. While building a castle can eliminate almost everything, watch out for battering rams and slingshots. With your economy and defense, start creating a large cavalry force, taking advantage of our Frankish status. Seek out your weakest enemies, which in this case are the Saxons (gray), Avars (orange), and minor factions (light blue). This will eliminate enemies and reduce enemy attacks. However, be careful not to lose Charlemagne, as you can take him to the Pope (purple) to gain points, although his death won't be a major issue. Then, convert the Saxon leaders, which is easy since they don't have castles, and target the minor factions, which are simply places where you can find more gold and resources safely. The Avars have a castle and are located to the east, but they won't be difficult enemies to defeat since their army is mostly composed of horse archers, easy targets for your cavalry. Then there are the Lombards (yellow), who are protecting your path to the Pope, although you can reach him by sea. If you kill their king inside a castle, they will surrender. Defeating each of the aforementioned enemies will give you the points needed to complete the map quickly. There are also two more missions that can give you points. As you know, when you reach 70 points, you can advance to the Imperial Age, and you'll face the strongest enemy: the Umayyads (green). You'll need a large, elite army against them, or they will easily overwhelm you due to their strength and Imperial Age. In addition, there are two more objectives besides these: one involves attacking a minor faction fortress, and the other involves finding four scholars. One is in the north on an island with a monastery, another is with the Lombards, another with the Pope, and the last one is further north. The west is a medium-sized base for the minor factions; it's not a complicated map, but it's a bit annoying not being able to advance to Imperial status early on. However, choosing these objectives only requires reaching 100 points; it doesn't mean completing them all, so you choose how to do it, and the achievement is practically a gift.
