I Played In Badminton's MOST ICONIC Venue (Istora Senayan)

The Istora Senayan is badminton's most iconic venue, a venue which all the world's best say is their favourite venue to play in. For me, I grew up dreaming of one day playing there. My first experience of watching world class badminton was the 1994 Thomas and Uber Cup finals which were held there, and my mum would tell me countless stories as she played there numerous times throughout the 1980s, most notably the 1980 world championships where she won bronze. The Istora always had a special place in my heart, and fortunately for me, I got to live out my dream as I was selected to play for England at the 2008 Thomas Cup being held in that exact venue. So, with the 2025 Indonesia Masters just about to start, a tournament being held at this iconic venue, I thought why not watch my England debut and react to it.
