I intended to ride the route alone, but ended up meeting a riding companion, Gordon. We'd ride for 20 days finishing the route on November 2nd, 2023. The Arizona Trail has a reputation for being physically and mentally demanding. It lived up to it's reputation. Overall it was a tremendous experience filled with joy, suffering, scorching heat, freezing cold, companionship, camaraderie, and overwhelming beauty. I had so much support while doing this route from strangers and friends.
