We couldn’t resist putting our bargain project cars to the ultimate test… After buying two supercharged MINI Cooper S R53 models for just £1,500 total, we thought the best idea would be to take them to a track day and see what happened. The Black one is completely untested before today! Predictably… it didn’t exactly go to plan. From broken exhausts to oil leaks and constant repairs, it felt like something was breaking every time we came back into the pits. But despite the chaos, these cheap MINIs proved just how much fun you can have without spending a fortune.
