In this video tutorial, you'll see how I solved a problem on a 2014 Volkswagen Touran 2.0 TDI where the following warning lights appeared on the dashboard: glow plug light, DPF (diesel particulate filter) light, and Check Engine light. My 2014 Volkswagen Touran 2.0 Diesel had the following problems: loss of power or revs not exceeding 2500 rpm. You can see this in the following video. So, here's how I solved this problem. First, we connected a diagnostic tool and a laptop with the correct software to see everything the car detected as incorrect. This way, we learned that the problem was with the glow plugs. So, we started by removing the engine cover. Then we checked the glow plugs and noticed that one of them, the first one, had a problem. It had melted. You'll find the glow plug wires and glow plugs below in the video description! So, we removed all the glow plug wires from the engine, stripped the insulation, and cut the cables where you see the white tape. We then connected the new glow plug wires using wire connectors, solder, and a soldering iron. In this photo, you can see the old glow plugs and melted wires. We also replaced the glow plugs. This video also applies to other VAG models with a 1.9 or 2.0 diesel engine, such as: VW Passat B6, B7, Golf Mk5, Mk6, Mk7, Scirocco, Eos, Beetle, Tiguan, Skoda Octavia 2, Octavia 3, Superb, Seat Leon, Altea, Audi A3, A4, A5, A6.
