However, he did not reach his destination – approximately halfway (at the entrance to the village of Siyantsi or Milyatyn), he fell into an ambush and sustained a serious injury, as a result of which he died a month and a half later. Who attacked Vatutin, why Soviet doctors failed to save the general, in what forms the communist regime cultivated his memory, and how “devatutinization” of Kyiv took place – we tell in the video.
