Many have said that the quality of the production EJ strat rivals that of the Fender Custom Shop instruments. Why am I so interested in signature guitars? I think it's fascinating in this age of "everyone plays everything" that an artist sticks with a single style of guitar to make his/her musical statement, to make his art some might say. Also there is the fact that if they play their signature model on records and live then you know how that instruments CAN sound. (Not to be confused with how it might sound in our hands.)
