Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Commentary #113, Atlantica (6): A New Day is Dawning

This is video #113 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX. This is Critical Mode. This video contains commentary. To view the non-commentary version, click here:    • Kingdom Hearts II FM [PS3] Playthrough #11...   Previously, Sora and company cleared the events in the Pride Lands. Now that Sora knows Thundaga, he can undertake the final musical challenge in Atlantica. So, the party beams down to Atlantica once again (time 0:57). When he is ready, Sora talks with Sebastian to get underway with the final musical number (time 2:43). This commences "Chapter Five: A New Day is Dawning." In this one, we're going for a score of 30,000 or higher. Each of the different gauges is used in this challenge. Be sure you hit the correct button. Don't hit the Square button when Sebastian is shown, but do hit it if it switches to show Ariel. Really, though, this is not a difficult challenge. A scene takes place after the challenge (time 6:03). Sora finally finds and seals Atlantica's Keyhole! Afterwards, the party bids a musical adieu to Ariel and friends. The grand prize for completing this world is a third Blizzard Element (time 7:31). Sora now knows Blizzaga! Also, the party acquires a second Orichalcum+. A very nice prize, considering the game doesn't exactly force them upon you. The player gains the Kindred Spirits trophy (time 7:48). Of course, this is for clearing the Atlantica episodes. Afterwards, the party beams down to Atlantica again (time 8:28). Sora first talks with everyone again. Then, he redoes the number "A New Day is Dawning" (time 10:24). I'm a bit amused Sebastian actually gave Donald a singing part. Flounder was a bit flat during his solo phrase, too. Anyway, when that is done, the party reviews the new Jiminy's Journal entries for Atlantica (time 13:25). After that, they will go drop off some more synthesis materials. So, they beam back up to the Gummi Ship (time 15:33) and land in the Oasis in the Pride Lands (time 15:55). There, they drop off their synthesis materials with Kumop (time 16:17).
