I Didn’t Listen to My Body. Here’s What Happened.
We've all done it. We notice a warning sign from the body—a little extra tension, discomfort, fatigue, or pain—and convince ourselves to push through anyway. In this video, I share a recent experience at the gym where I ignored what my body was telling me and ended up paying for it. More importantly, I talk about what happened afterward and how my response to pain and discomfort has changed over the years. There was a time when I would have pushed harder, judged myself, or ignored the message entirely. Today, I approach these moments differently. In this video, I explore: • Why the body often gets louder when we don't listen • The difference between responding to pain and reacting to it • What I did after my body's "warning shot" • How building body literacy changes the way we relate to discomfort, pain, and setbacks The goal isn't to become perfect at listening to your body. It's to become more curious, more compassionate, and more willing to pay attention. Because your body isn't working against you. It's communicating with you. #BodyLiteracy #ChronicPain #MindBodyConnection #PainScience #NervousSystemHealth #SomaticHealing
