Do The Astral Plane (layout)

New layout. Was kinda just listening to this song one day and imagined a super cool level in my head, so I started making it. In all of the gameplay I’ve made, I’ve never really used movements that actually affect the gameplay in a meaningful way, so that was one of the main goals with the gameplay here, done using 8000 of those moving blocks. I think most of the gimmicks are kinda neat and all of the parts are pretty satisfying to play, so I’m quite proud of this layout. The structuring in some parts is kinda ugly, but it’s mostly temporary and should look a lot better once the level is decorated. Compared to the 14 hours it took me to build the layout for Neurostasis, this took me 55 hours and man was it a struggle. I started it just under a year ago, made everything up to the final wave in about 5 months, and then took almost 6 months to finish the rest. I really wanted to make the final wave as chaotic as possible, and I was completely mind-blocked on how to do that for so long. I’m still not satisfied with all of the movements in it, but I’m sure I’ll be able to correct it all when the decoration helps me see my vision clearly. I’ve already written down a lot of theming/decoration plans, and I’ll be getting some help from    / @anaveragemango  , the person who introduced me to this song, so hopefully it won’t take as long to decorate. Also, sorry about the long drought without any solo projects. I’ve been much less motivated to build ever since 2.2 dropped and have dropped a lot of levels I’ve put time into, but I definitely do want to finish this level, so do look forward to it. 21924 objects, 238 groups Projected difficulty: low-mid Extreme Demon idk.
