A Taste of the North Cascades: Finding our Way to the Picket Range

This was a 5 day/4 night trip into the northern half of North Cascades National Park in early August 2022. We went into this outing with the summit of Mt. Challenger via Beaver Pass and Challenger Arm as our big objective. A combination of bugs, route finding challenges, summer heat, and a little fatigue all led to us downsizing the objectives and settling for an accidental summit of Little Beaver Peak instead. The views and isolation were incredible regardless. Glad we got to see it when we did. Soon after this trip ended, this area was closed down due to wild fires in the Chilliwack. Hope we get to return in the future and finish the job.
