I explore mountains, cave, beer, wine, trains and more. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a ski town in Bavaria. The town's name was formed when 2 towns united in 1935. With its beautiful location in the Alps near the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, Garmisch-Partenkirchen for hiking and winter sports. In Partenkirchen I walk along the Ludwigstraße with several painted houses. Garmisch-Partenkirchen consists of two towns, which were merged for the Olympic Games in the 30s. One is known as Garmisch and the second neighboring part is Patenkirchen. This particular walk takes you through the Garmisch area. Old painted houses take you on a journey through this special town!
