【東武鉄道】太田駅 自動放送・信号開通メロディー
[Lines] Tobu Isesaki Line, Tobu Koizumi Line, Tobu Kiryu Line (TI-18) [Location] Ota City, Gunma Prefecture [Station Overview] This is the central station of Ota City. All express trains stop here. The platform has three platforms and six tracks, but the Isesaki Line platform is approximately 10 cars long, with platforms 1-4 on the Ashikaga City side and platforms 7-10 on the Isesaki side. Since 2006, when local trains were separated north and south of Ota, platforms 1-4 for trains heading toward Tatebayashi and platforms 7-10 for trains heading toward Isesaki have been used. However, with the expansion of one-man operation, local trains have primarily operated between Isesaki and Tatebayashi, and platforms 7-10 were discontinued in 2017. Upbound trains primarily use platform 2, downbound trains primarily use platform 3, and downbound local trains that turn around and wait for Tatebayashi-bound local trains or limited express trains use platform 4. Platform 1 is rarely used by trains. Most trains on the Koizumi Line and Kiryu Line are direct, and few trains begin or end at this station. Most Koizumi Line trains bound for Higashi-Koizumi depart from Platform 5, and most Kiryu Line trains bound for Akagi depart from Platform 6. Automatic announcements are standard detailed announcements. Even in the days of the old standard announcements, very detailed announcements have been made, and advance notice announcements were also included. Current announcements still include additional stop information that cannot be heard in unified areas, and there are many other parts that can only be heard at this station, such as the arrival announcements for express trains, which are phrased uniquely to this station. Advance notices for all Isesaki Line trains are broadcast from speakers on all platforms and in the ceiling speakers on the concourse level 5 and 3 minutes before departure. Around 2022, advance notice announcements, which were previously only available for inbound trains, will also be broadcast on outbound trains, and the transfer information that was previously included in the arrival announcements for platforms 5 and 6 will be removed. Around the summer of 2024, the announcers for platforms 3 and 4 will be switched between male and female, and the announcement for the train announcements will be changed to a male voice. The male voice announcements can only be heard at this station. The automatic announcement speakers are MUSE, shared by each island. Announcements for platforms 1 and 2 are broadcast from the speakers on platforms 7 and 8, while announcements for platforms 3 and 4 are broadcast from the speakers on platforms 9 and 10. Signal opening melodies have been used since the start of one-man operation on each line, and the ones on platforms 7 through 10 were removed in 2017 when no more trains departed. When one-man operation was expanded between Ota and Tatebayashi, patrol lights were installed for inbound trains on platforms 7 through 10 (they also sound when inbound trains depart on platforms 1 through 4), but these were also removed after the platforms were no longer in use (this video only includes the "London Bridge" train). Subsequently, inbound and outbound melodies were installed on platforms 1 through 4, respectively. Currently, this song is not played on outbound trains on platforms 1 and 2 (it may be played when special trains are running for fireworks displays). The song that plays on platforms 5 and 6 varies depending on whether you are on the Koizumi Line or the Kiryu Line. The patrol light for platform 5 is located in a narrow position next to the stairs, so we recommend recording on a train departing from platform 6. Audio for "Limited Express Ryomo No. 4 bound for Asakusa" was recorded on platforms 1 and 4, but platform 1 was recorded in 2021 and platform 4 was recorded in 2017, so the wording is slightly different.
