This Tesla Road Trip Got Complicated Fast

The road to Millbrook begins… but this was not a simple drive. In Part 1 of my Tesla Owners Club UK Millbrook road trip series, I’m heading from Liverpool down to Millbrook Proving Ground for the yearly Tesla Owners Club UK event — but before the proper journey even starts, there are a few detours. First, the Tesla needs a wash. Then I’ve got to head over to Manchester Airport to pick up family, get back home, pack up, and only then can we finally start the trip down to Millbrook. And to make things even more interesting, the UK is in the middle of a heatwave — so this becomes a real-world Tesla road trip test, looking at efficiency, charging, comfort, range and what it’s actually like doing a long EV journey when things don’t go perfectly to plan.
