What Were the Blade Scripts that Marvel Abandoned?

Ever since it was originally announced, fans have been excited about the possibility of an upcoming MCU Blade film. And from what has been officially announced – Mahershala Ali will be starring as the titular part-vampire vampire hunter, it will be rated R, and then we got an off-screen post-credits cameo in Eternals of Ali telling Dane Whitman “Are you sure you’re ready for that, Mr. Whitman?” And shy of that? Literally nothing from any official sources. There’ve been two different directors attached, five different writers, and now a fourth major rewrite. And all the while, way too many people on the internet are making the exact same joke. I honestly don’t think that the delays in submitting a finished Blade script are due to the quality. Looking at the earlier writers, they’ve all had very impressive resumes. If we look at all of the pieces that have been reported from sites like Variety or the Hollywood Reporter, there’s actually been a good number of tiny hints that can actually come together to see a bigger picture. And when you piece those together with the surprisingly few major Blade storylines that haven’t been adapted by New Line Cinema. Yeah. We can figure out which version of the script was which story.
