Subdivision Surfaces | 3D Graphics Overview
The industry standard method for creating high fidelity 3D models is to use what are called subdivision surfaces. This method is called “subd modelling.” The most common method of subdivision is called Catmull-Clark Subdivision, and is the one used in every modern 3D modelling package. In this lecture, we briefly go over the Catmull-Clark subdivision algorithm, and discuss the fundamentals of subd modelling. Full series: • 3D Graphics Overview
