A rehearsal for the stage play "Azumi ~Sengoku Arc~," starring Rina Kawaei, was opened to the public. "Azumi" is a hugely popular manga by Yu Koyama. A film adaptation starring Aya Ueto was released in 2003, and a stage adaptation starring Meisa Kuroki was released in 2005. In 2015, "AZUMI: Bakumatsu Arc" was performed, starring Rina Kawaei. And now, in "Azumi ~Sengoku Arc~," Rina Kawaei will once again play the lead role of Azumi, just as in the Bakumatsu Arc. Hiroki Suzuki plays Ukiha, and Yuki Saotome plays Bijomaru. Other cast members include Ryo Ozono, Toru Yamamoto, Narumi Arimori, and Hidetoshi Hoshida. The composition and direction are by Shunichi Okamura, the same as the previous production.
