We finally made it to our beloved Pripyat River with a huge family group! My wife, a friend, my uncle, my father-in-law, and I, along with our two trusty boats, enjoyed five whole days of complete freedom as wild men on the shore. This trip will be a memorable one! The fish were a bit skittish and didn't bite well, but we didn't leave empty-handed: we filled a barrel of small fish for fish soup, hooked two excellent pike perch, caught a couple of catfish and pike, and even managed to catch three other people's wobblers with our spinning rods! But the biggest shock was the nighttime incident – ​​we caught a trophy catfish weighing 15 kg, tied it up, and this cunning beast untied the rope and bolted right under our noses! A campfire, freshly fried pike on a frying pan, incredible sunrises and sunsets over Pripyat, and all around – wildlife, beavers, and tame storks. A true forest bliss and relaxation for the soul.
