EXTREMELY RARE SIGHT of Big Boy 4012 Moving at Steamtown

Big Boy 4014    • BIG BOY 4014 Makes HISTORY in Pennsylvania...   Seeing this locomotive move on the rails is a rather rare site and unless you happen to be in the right area at the right time, it's something you may never see. Union Pacific 4012 more commonly known as the Big Boy is one of eight surviving locomotives of its kind and this will be my first time to see a big boy move along the rails in person. UP 4012 has a sister locomotive 4014 which is operational, but the rail infrastructure makes it impossible for her to operate here in the northeast Luckily for us, Steamtown National Park has a big boy on property and although she'll likely never operate under her own power again, we will get to see her move thanks to this special event that Steamtown opened to the public.
