Build Your Stash and Craft, wk 15, Diy gelli plate, step by step, recipe is in description box:)

NOTE : DO NOT STORE YOUR GELLI PLATE ON A METAL PAN, IT WILL DRAW RUST OUT OF THE PAN AND RUIN YOUR PLATE. STORE ON HEAVY GLASS WITH SANDED EDGES, OR ON ACETATE OR PLASTIC !!! Craft on a $5.00 a week Budget :) Each week I will be creating a craft project with only the items we have purchased for this series :)Thank you for watching and I hope you all have an Outstanding Day :) amy here is the recipe I used as follows: 7 packs of knox gelatin (7.06g each), 1 1/2 cups of boiling water, and 1 1/2 cups (2-6oz bottles) of glycerine . First put the glycerine in a glass bowl, sprinkle all the gelatin on top and let sit for 1 min., add the boiling water and stir slowly so you don't make a bunch of bubbles for 5 min. then microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir 30 seconds, microwave on high 30 seconds, stir 30 seconds, and microwave on high 30 seconds and stir then pour into the container you are going to mold it in. I hope this helps, when you first add the hot water it is going to look all gloppy, but if you continue to stir it most of all the gelatin melts and the final microwaving finishes it off. make sure your surface is level so your plate comes out at the same thickness. It takes about 3-5 hours to harden, and then just run a knife around the edges and slowly release the edges, you just need to get some air underneath after you release the edges and it will fall right out. If you have any other questions just let me know, Good Luck, and Happy Gelli Playing :) I created this video with the YouTube Video Editor (   / editor  )
