Its biggest advantage is earning Membership Rewards points, which transfer to major partners like Virgin Velocity, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, and Emirates. This flexibility solves the common problem of finding reward seats; if one airline is sold out, you can simply transfer to another. You get a $400 annual travel credit against a $395 annual fee. While prices on the Amex Travel Portal can sometimes be slightly higher than booking direct, the credit effectively makes the card "cost-neutral" if used correctly. You also get complimentary travel insurance, two lounge passes, and a steady earn rate of 2 points per dollar on everyday spend. You cannot transfer points directly to Qantas. While I explain a loophole through Marriott Bonvoy in this video, the value drops significantly, so be warned. Additionally, lounge access is restricted compared to the Platinum card, and the benefits beyond the travel credit are minimal. But if you are looking for luxury perks or direct Qantas transfers, this might not be the fit. ▶️ 00:00 Amex Explorer Card Australia 00:46 Current Sign-Up Bonus Offer 01:02 Amex Membership Rewards Explained 01:23 Airline Transfer Partners 01:59 The Benefit of Flexible Points 03:01 Example: Booking Qatar Airways vs. Velocity 04:11 Upcoming Point Devaluation 04:31 Hotel Partners (Marriott Bonvoy) 05:08 Transferring to Qantas (The Loophole) 06:27 Minimum Spend Requirements 06:55 Annual Fee Cost 07:18 $400 Travel Credit Explained 08:36 Travel Insurance & Lounge Access 09:54 How to Find the Best Offers 10:35 Eligibility Rules 10:55 Referral Bonus Benefits 11:45 Income Requirements & Approval Odds 13:19 Is this Card Good for Beginners? 14:16 Points Earn Rate 14:42 Final Verdict If you like this video, Please SUBSCRIBE and don’t forget to 👍 like, comment, and share! --- ▶️ For business inquiries: [email protected] --- ▶️ Other Video: • Qantas Just Dropped HUGE News — Everything You Need to Know:    • Qantas Just Announced A LOT — Here's EVERY...   • 25% Off Classic Reward Flights with Qantas Points:    • BREAKING: 25% Off Classic Reward Flights w...   • MASSIVE Release of Business Class Reward Seats to Paris:    • BREAKING: MASSIVE Release of Business Clas...   • Secret to Booking Emirates Business Class with Qantas Points:    • How To Book Emirates Business Class With Q...   --- ▶️ Affiliate Disclosure: I earn a commission on every purchase made through my links. ▶️ Disclaimer: This is not financial advice.
