How To: Set up a Retort Stand
A retort, clamp and stand is a very basic piece of science equipment, but many people especially students find it very difficult to set up. Many students find it hard because they are not allowed to set them up and the lab technician does all the setting up for them. In this short video I demonstrate the best and simplest way to set up this commonly used equipment. In many experiments we use not one but several of these to hold the things together – for instance, burettes, test tubes and flasks. a Retort can sometimes called a clamp stand or a ring stand
